Visit Responsibly
A a member of the BruceGreySimcoe tourism community, Red Hen Artisanale has made a pledge to do our part to help keep this beautiful pocket of space within the province safe, welcoming, and sustainable for generations to come. Below are a few ways you can help out and have a positive impact when visiting Red Hen for a workshop!
Plan Ahead
Take a look at where you're headed before you hit the road! Make sure you're equipped with snow tires in the winter, and extra water to keep you hydrated in the summer! If you're making a workshop a part of your greater weekend adventure, make sure you book in with a place to stay, and check out which restaurants are open and ready to serve you while you're here.
Respect the Environment
The beautiful Saugeen River runs right through the back of the special property that Red Hen Artisanale is located on. It's a bustling habitat for many different species of plants and wild life. We watch as it changes throughout the seasons and respect it's beauty and power. You can too by making sure nothing ends up in there that doesn't belong!
Slow Down
While you're here -- or on the way -- take a minute to slow down. Look around you and embrace your surroundings! We're located in such a special region -- inhale a deep breath of fresh air and take it all in! Listen to the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the leaves. Embrace the beauty of country nature and give yourself a chance to move slower.
Support Local
Either before you arrive for a workshop, or on your way home, explore some of the other small businesses in the area. Not too far away there are great local shops (hello, cheese!), and some well-established restaurants. Drive a little bit further and you'll find anything you're looking for!
